Who Can Authorize the Door to Be Opened

- Owner, officer, or manager on site. Business license, lease, utility bill in the business name, or an ID matched against the entity on record.
- Property manager or facility contact. Standard for multi-tenant buildings, where common areas and individual suites are controlled separately.
- An employee with authorization. A manager or owner reachable by phone to authorize entry works. An employee alone, with no one reachable, does not.

Who can authorize a commercial lockout?
An owner, officer, or manager on site, or a designated property-management contact. An employee can request the call as long as an owner or manager is reachable to authorize entry. Verification happens before the door is opened, which matters most in multi-tenant buildings where suites and common areas are controlled separately.
Can you open panic bars and exit devices?
Yes. Rim, surface vertical rod, concealed vertical rod, and mortise exit devices are all in scope, including Von Duprin, Sargent, Falcon, Yale, and Corbin Russwin.
What about storefront aluminum doors?
Yes. Narrow-stile aluminum storefront doors with hook bolts and pivots are common on retail and restaurant fronts and are opened regularly.
Do you work with electrified hardware and access control?
Yes on the door side: electric strikes, electromagnetic locks, and request-to-exit hardware. Panel programming and low-voltage wiring usually stay with your installing integrator.
Do you provide a Certificate of Insurance and a W-9?
